The New City Pennysaver ad was placed Oct. 15 by Interim Healthcare Inc. “Laid back nurse, no haitians, must have strong respiratory mngt,” reads the typo-ridden classified.

In an October 15th edition, the help wanted ad in Pennysaver clearly states ‘no Haitians’. Carl Henry Joseph was born in Haiti. He says the ad placed by Interim Healthcare Inc. should not be tolerated.

State Senator David Carlucci agrees – he took note of the Interim Healthcare Inc. ad published in the Rockland County Pennysaver, an area with one of the highest Haitian population in the country. It is also part of the district he represents.

“The ad placed is a blatant form of discrimination that cannot be tolerated in our community or in our state,” says Senator Carlucci.

Senator Carlucci also took to Twitter and Facebook to point out his frustrations. Now, he says action needs to be taken.

Joseph says members of t community deserve a response from Interim Healthcare Inc.
