Paget Brewster will reprise her role as Emily Prentiss, CBS said in a press release. The episode, titled “Tribute,” will air on Wednesday.
Get excited “Criminal Minds” fans, because everyone’s favorite agent is reuniting with the BAU. The CBS drama announced on Wednesday, Feb. 10, that Paget Brewster will be reprising her role as Emily Prentiss, TVLine reports. Enlisting the help of her old American team of agent co-workers, together they will help Prentiss catch an international serial killer on the loose.
An exact date hasn’t been set, but the former BAU member who’s now an Interpol agent, will appear sometime during Season 11 in the spring. Brewster is currently starring on a very different show, the FOX comedy “Grandfathered” opposite John Stamos, and hasn’t been a full-time cast member on “Criminal Minds” since Season 7.
Agent Prentiss already surprised audiences by appearing in the long running drama’s 200th episode, and Brewster is excited to do it again, especially after Brewster couldn’t return to fill the shoes of A.J. Cook when she had to depart from maternity leave. “It just didn’t work out, which was a shame,” she told explained then. “I really wanted to do it!”
“Criminal Minds” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
